Description

One of the more masculine of essential oils, cedarwood is popularly used in toiletries for men. It is a great deodorizer and a good insect-repellent. A very useful oil for burning or diffusing, it may have been one of the first oils used by man and was highly prized in ancient Egypt. This oil has been certified as organic by the Soil Association.

Botanical Name: Cedrus atlantica

Country of Origin: Morocco

Part of Plant Used: Wood, stumps, and sawdust

Method of Extraction: Steam distillation

Aroma and Appearance: Viscous oil. Woody, balsamic, rich dry overtones. Yellow, orange, or deep amber.
