Description
The class covers the following aromatherapy topics:- Introduction to Aromatherapy
- Extraction of Essential Oils
- Chemistry of Essential Oils
- Blending and Storage of Essential Oils
- How Essential Oils Are Absorbed into the Body
- Application of Essential Oils
- Essential Concepts and Terminology
- Effects of Essential Oils on the Body
- Hazards of Essential Oils
- Detailed Study of 47 of the Best Known Essential Oils
- Carrier Oils
- Client Consultation
- Massage
- The Treatment Room
- Professionalism and Ethics
- Glossary and Terminology
As part of the class, students will receive education materials concerning aromatherapy and a certificate of attendance.
With each curriculum, the instructor receives 3 notebooks containing a sample of course materials as well as a CD that contains electronic versions of documents that can be printed for class room use.
Materials include:
- Background information for the instructor on each aromatherapy topic
- Multiple PowerPoint presentations (with instructor notes) that can be used as part of the classroom instruction.
- Student workbooks or handouts of slides (teacher's choice on which to use)on each section (can be reproduced as needed)
- Student tests for each section (can be reproduced as needed)
- Keys to the student workbooks/tests
- Certificate of completion for the course (can be reproduced as needed)
- Flyer that can be sent out to advertise the course and invite students to enroll (can be modified with date/time/cost/contact information and reproduced as needed)
